About Chris

Chris with SophieConnecting with animals and nature has come naturally to me since I was a child. One of my earliest memories was when I was two. Much to my mother’s surprise, she found me hugging the legs of one of my father’s draft horses. Their hooves were the size of dinner plates and they could easily have hurt me. We connected at a level beyond our oversized and undersized bodies and in that connection was trust.

My background is in plant and soil science. As a soil scientist I have 25 years of experience working for the US Forest Service, environmental non-profits, consulting firms and as a private consultant on environmental projects. After many years of my own self-discovery and meditation I have nurtured and developed the ability to communicate with animals. Trusting the subtle non-verbal communication between all things is the basis of inter-species communication. Intelligence is everywhere and we are naturally connected to it. Beyond our projections and programs there is the possibility for a world of harmony and peace with animals and nature.

I have studied with many teachers along my path. I give my deepest gratitude to those who have helped me clear the layers of ego surrounding the heart. For it is the heart where these connections comes from. Since 1996 I have been a student of Leslie Temple-Thurston and the Corelight Teacher Training Program. Corelight is dedicated to the advancement of humanity. Sharon Callahan and Anna Brytenbach have provided mentoring, training and guidance. I have been a student of David Waldman for a number of years. The teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi come through David and Leslie. Even though Ramana Maharshi is no longer in a body I feel his love and support in offering these services and teachings.

Depending on what is needed, I may bring Meditation, Reiki, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), or  Focusing into the session.  In November 2014, I  was ordained as a Corelight Minister  by Leslie Temple-Thurston.

Our task must be to free ourselves by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty.~Albert Einstein
